Mentoring Partnership Agreement

During the initial meeting between the mentor and mentee, decide on details such as how to communicate with each other and where, when and how often to meet.

Go through the partnership agreement and discuss how you will implement each of the following items.
  • Take joint responsibility for the success of the mentoring partnership.
  • Take individual responsibility to engage in positive and constructive communication and feedback.
  • Make regular, at least weekly, contacts (in person, email, phone).
  • Jointly attend trainings offered by the district and project.
  • Plan and implement follow-up activities to the professional development training.
  • Participate in classroom observations, debriefing and discussions.
  • Together, develop and utilize self-reflective professional growth strategies (i.e., stop, take a breath and reflect on how you're doing).
