Quarterly Implementation Plans

Implementation plans are developed by both members of the mentoring partnership. Summarized information gained from the needs self-assessment can be used to plan the year's professional development activities. In other words, plans for your professional development will be based on the areas you indicate are the highest priority and where you would like to gain confidence.

The implementation plans, with their suggested activities, detail WHAT should happen during each of the three quarters of the school year. The mentor and early career teacher work together to identify:
  1. How it can happen.
  2. Who will be involved in the activity?
  3. What resources will you need to make it happen?
  4. Who is going to secure those resources? If, for example, you feel you need to talk with the librarian about using the computer with Internet access in the library at a particular time that fits into your schedules, who will be responsible for making those arrangements?
  5. When would you like these activities to happen?
  6. And finally, what are the outcomes to your activity and at what point will you feel you have successfully completed the activity?
